Researching a Phenomenon

The innovation of the Massive Open Online Course did not change the trajectory of higher education in the way media coverage projected, but considering it as a phenomenon provides an opportunity to assess the present capabilities of learning platforms while iterating for the future. I have researched the sociocultural and pedagogical impact of MOOCs as a phenomenon in an effort to better understand how we engage with learning environments.
